With the use of copper sulfate, better known as rock salt, and potassium hydroxide on the ground around the sewer line you can prevent root growth. Keeping trees away from the sewer line is ideal, but you can’t always control that. We recommend using both of these methods to be sure you don’t encounter any issues with tree roots.
